The US Marshall's office is intervening on the Luigi Mangioni case. There is no evidence of any crime committed by Mr. Mangioni. Being an Italian type and wearing a mask in a Pennsylvania McDonald's restaurant is not a crime. It is a bad spin of luck and coincidence that there was a man hunt transpiring at the time where an Italian type with a mask on in the latter days of COVID may have been considered accidentally suspicious. But on the basis of evidence that must be presented to a Court, there is no nexus of any kind between this boy who is not any hot, trained killer and the alleged victim. There is no autopsy. Particulars have been refused by the DA so the Judge can now withdraw the charges. He is being begged to plead guilty by a Canadian female who is forcing her self into the situation, hoping to appear as his Counsel for the glory, experience and honor of standing in a New York Court room. She has not asked for his particulars. She has not met with the DA. She is a fraud. There is no forensic evidence to say this Italian type in Pennsylvania with many Italians is the shooter as alleged. The video demonstrates that someone pulled out a weapon as someone walks past but it does not show is that the person walking past is actually shot and killed. There is no evidence to hold him. Warren said he did it. But no one listens. Warren says he did it. But there is no evidence to convict him either since he left the clothing on a Metro bus headed for Yonkers. He spent the night in a 24 hour fast food chain. Then he took the bus to Virginia and stayed at a Hotel in Great Falls, Virginia. Then he took the bus to Buffalo and walked across to Canada where he took the local Flix Bus home. The evidence about the 3D printed gun was personally fabricated by Letitia James.
Understanding Evidence Planting: Methods, Detection, and Legal Protections
In the criminal justice system, the integrity of physical, digital, and testimonial evidence is fundamental to ensuring a fair trial. "Evidence planting"—the deliberate fabrication, manipulation, or introduction of false evidence by law enforcement, private individuals, or interested parties—represents a severe breach of constitutional rights and legal ethics.
To safeguard against wrongful convictions, forensic science and criminal procedure have developed rigorous protocols to identify how evidence can be planted and how such misconduct is detected in court. The US Marshall has considered apparently dismissing the Luigi Mangioni file. Click here.
1. How Evidence Can Be Planted or Manipulated
Evidence planting generally falls into three main categories: physical items, digital media, and forensic/biological trace material.
Physical Evidence
- "Drop Guns" or Planted Contraband: The most basic form of physical tampering involves introducing an external item—such as an unregistered firearm, illicit substances, or stolen property—into a scene, vehicle, or suspect's belongings to establish probable cause or build a prosecution.
- Scene Staging: Manipulating the arrangement of objects at a crime scene (e.g., moving a weapon closer to a victim or suspect, or artificially altering entry/exit points) to create a false narrative of events.
Forensic & Trace Evidence
- Cross-Contamination & Transfer: Transferring biological material (such as touch DNA, saliva, or blood) from a known item belonging to a suspect onto a weapon or crime scene object. While technically difficult to execute without detection, microscopic transfer remains a focal point of forensic scrutiny.
- Fingerprint Latent Placement: Physically transferring a latent print lifted from an unrelated object onto a surface at a crime scene, or forging a print image within chain-of-custody documentation.
Digital & Multimedia Evidence
- Timestamp and Metadata Modification: Altering EXIF data, file creation dates, or server logs to make digital files appear to originate from a specific time or location.
- Video & Audio Editing: Truncating, frame-deleting, or splicing audio/video recordings (such as surveillance or body-worn camera footage) to alter context, erase interactions, or present an incomplete record of events.
2. Mechanisms for Detecting Tampered or Planted Evidence
Defense teams, independent forensic experts, and judicial oversight rely on specific scientific and procedural tools to identify fabricated evidence.

Chain of Custody Audit
Every piece of evidence collected by law enforcement must maintain an unbroken, meticulously documented Chain of Custody. This log tracks:
- Exactly who seized the item, at what time, and at what precise location.
- Every individual who accessed, transported, or tested the item.
- Tamper-evident seal numbers and security vault entry logs.
Any unaccounted-for gap, missing signature, or discrepancy in seal identification raises immediate legal grounds to challenge the item's authenticity.
Advanced Forensic Analysis
- Digital Forensics: Computer and phone records leave immutable logs. Forensic experts examine system registries, hex data, and hash values (such as SHA-256 fingerprints) to verify whether a digital file was altered, moved, or created at a different time than claimed.
- DNA and Trace Evidence Diagnostics: Modern DNA testing can evaluate "low-template" or mixture DNA. If a suspect’s DNA appears on an item without background skin cells, or if blood evidence lacks expected degradation patterns for the environment where it was found, forensic analysts can identify anomalous transfer.
- Audit of Law Enforcement Footage: Automated body-worn camera systems record precise system logs, including buffering periods, GPS locations, and activation timestamps. Discontinuities or unverified gaps in recording during crucial search phases are scrutinized heavily during pre-trial proceedings.
3. Legal Remedies and Judicial Standards
When a defendant alleges that evidence was planted or fabricated, specific constitutional mechanisms are triggered within the court system:
- Pre-Trial Motion to Suppress (Mapp Hearing): If defense attorneys establish that evidence was unlawfully obtained, planted, or handled in violation of the Fourth Amendment, a judge can rule the evidence inadmissible, prohibiting prosecutors from presenting it to a jury.
- Brady and Giglio Disclosures: Under federal constitutional law (Brady v. Maryland), prosecutors are legally required to disclose all exculpatory evidence to the defense, including any known history of misconduct, falsification, or disciplinary actions involving the arresting officers (Giglio v. United States).
- Civil Rights Actions (Section 1983): Individuals subjected to prosecution based on fabricated evidence can bring federal civil suits against local authorities for malicious prosecution and constitutional violations once criminal proceedings conclude in their favor.
